Accessibility Statement
Best Practice (youbestpractice.com)
Operated by YOUBESTPRACTICE LLC ("we," "us," "our")
Version: Accessibility v1.3 (2026-10-11)
Prepared: October 13, 2026
Dates and times: every deadline in this statement runs on Pacific Time (Washington time, America/Los_Angeles).
Our commitment
Everyone preparing for a real estate license should be able to use Best Practice. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the platform.
What's built in
- Captions and a full transcript on every course video. The transcript is the narration exactly as delivered.
- Lessons that work by ear. Every lesson is written to make complete sense heard alone, so nothing essential lives only in a graphic.
- A course player you can run entirely from the keyboard.
- Practice questions and quizzes that work with screen readers.
- Readable text: text that resizes to 200%, strong contrast, and no information carried by color alone.
- Practice without a clock. Simulated exams are timed like the real exam, and you can always practice untimed.
Rules we can't switch off, and how we help
Washington's distance-education rules for real estate courses require some things we can't remove: a minimum seat time, an automatic shutdown after 10 minutes of inactivity (with a 60-second warning), and identity checks during the course. If a disability makes any of these hard for you, contact us before you start. We'll work out an accommodation within what the rules allow, such as a longer inactivity window, a different kind of identity check, or a live orientation by phone, and we'll ask the Department of Licensing where we need its answer.
How to ask. Email support@youbestpractice.com or call 360-356-0329 and tell us what's hard and what would help. Please ask before you plan to start, so there's time to arrange it (and to ask DOL, if we need its answer). We'll respond to your request within 5 business days. We only ask for documentation when the need or the fix isn't clear, and then only what's needed to set up the accommodation. We'll tell you our decision in writing, and if we can't do what you asked, we'll offer the closest thing the rules allow.
Known limitations
Our pre-launch accessibility audit (automated WCAG 2.1 AA checks of every page, and a keyboard-only run through the course player, October 1, 2026) found no serious, critical or moderate problems. Videos watched on YouTube use YouTube's own player and captions.
