Enrollment Agreement (Clock-Hour Courses)
Best Practice (youbestpractice.com)
School: YOUBESTPRACTICE LLC, doing business as Best Practice, a Washington limited liability company
Version: Enrollment Agreement v1.5 (2026-11-03)
Effective date: November 3, 2026
This agreement is your registration agreement for one clock-hour course. You accept it electronically when you buy the course, by checking the box that says "I agree to the Terms of Service and this Enrollment Agreement" at checkout. You confirm your student details (Section 2) and type your full legal name (Section 14) when you first open the course, before instruction begins. It includes our Terms of Service, which apply to this course in full. If this agreement and the Terms of Service conflict about this course, this agreement controls, except that Section 19 of the Terms of Service (resolving disputes) always applies. Every date and deadline in this agreement, including the refund window and your access period, runs on Pacific Time (Washington time, America/Los_Angeles), as Terms of Service Section 1.4 explains.

If wrong information from you delays your credit, we'll fix it as fast as we can, but we aren't responsible for DOL late fees or license-status changes it causes. Washington's rules require it on your student record (WAC 308-124H-935).

4. Admission
4.1 To enroll you must be at least 18, have an account in your own name, pay the tuition, and meet any prerequisite listed in the course description. Prerequisites: none. We admit students, set tuition and apply completion standards without discrimination on any basis protected by federal or Washington law.
4.2 Before you start, check your device with our technical-requirements page. You need a current browser, a stable internet connection and audio.
5. When your course starts and ends
5.1 Access period. Your access to this course begins the first time you launch it and ends 6 months later, whether you've finished or not. Buying the course doesn't start the clock. You may buy one optional extension, 90 more days for $25, once per enrollment, at any time before your access ends; there are no other extensions.
5.2 Instruction begins when you complete and acknowledge the course orientation. There is no entry assessment.
5.3 If your access ends before you finish (an interrupted course), you can enroll again by buying the course at its then-current price. Work you completed carries over to the new enrollment only where the course version hasn't changed and DOL's rules allow it; otherwise you start the course again. Either way, your completed work stays on your record.
6. Attendance and participation
6.1 Seat time. You must spend at least the course's required seat time actively working in the course. Our system measures it.
6.2 Inactivity. After 10 minutes with no activity, you get a 60-second warning; if you don't respond, the session shuts down automatically and the inactive time doesn't count.
6.3 Identity checks. You attest to your identity at enrollment and answer personal validation questions during the course. Only you may do your course work and answer identity checks.
6.4 One session at a time. You can be signed in to the course on one device at a time.
6.5 Leave, absences, makeup work and tardiness. The course is self-paced, so there are no scheduled class times to miss. You can pause and come back at any time during your access period. Missed or failed work is made up by repeating the lesson or retaking the quiz as Section 7 describes.
6.6 Accommodations. If a disability makes seat-time limits, inactivity shutdown or identity checks hard for you, contact us before you start (see our Accessibility Statement). We'll work out an accommodation within what DOL's rules allow.
7. Standards of progress and grading
7.1 Each module ends with a quiz. You master a module by scoring at least (the course's mastery percentage: 80% unless the course description says otherwise). You must master each module before the next one opens.
7.2 If you don't reach mastery, you see the objectives you missed and the lessons that teach them, and you can retake the quiz with a different set of questions (as many times as you need, unless the course description sets a retake limit).
7.3 Grading is mastery / not yet mastered for each module. Satisfactory progress means mastering every module within your access period.
7.4 The comprehensive final examination (courses of 30 clock hours or more) needs 70 percent to pass. There is no limit on attempts: after an attempt that does not pass you may review any part of the course, or go back through it from the beginning, and retake the exam as many times as you need, 24 hours apart and after reviewing the lessons for the objectives you missed. Each retake uses a different form of the exam from the attempt before it.
8. Completing the course and your certificate
8.1 You earn the course's clock hours only when you have done all of these: the orientation acknowledgment, the identity checks, the full required seat time, every lesson, mastery of every module, the course evaluation, and your written certification that you completed the course yourself. The school then certifies your completion and issues your certificate. Where DOL requires us to report your completion, we report it to the Washington State Department of Licensing by the next business day after you complete the course. After we report it, the Department of Licensing may take several business days to post the completion to your license record; that timing is outside our control. Your certificate is in your account right away.
8.2 We never award hours for work you didn't complete, and we can't change DOL's rules.
8.3 A refund never cancels a certificate already issued, because the certificate records hours you actually completed.
9. Dismissal and readmission
9.1 We may dismiss you from the course, without a refund, for: letting someone else do your course work or identity checks (or doing them for someone else); giving false identity information; copying, recording or sharing course content or questions; trying to get around seat-time, identity or security controls; asking for or sharing live licensing-exam content; or harassing an instructor, staff member or student.
9.2 We'll tell you the reason in writing. You can respond within 10 days, and we'll consider what you say before the dismissal becomes final.
9.3 A dismissed student may ask to be readmitted after 6 months by writing to compliance@youbestpractice.com. We decide case by case, and readmission means a new enrollment at the then-current price. A student dismissed for fraud in course work may be refused readmission, and where the law requires we report it to DOL.
9.4 Questions and complaints. If something about the course isn't right, tell your instructor through "Ask your instructor." If that doesn't settle it, write to the school administrator at support@youbestpractice.com or the address in Section 1, and we'll answer within 5 business days. A legal dispute follows Terms Section 19 (60 days of informal negotiation first, which binds both of us). You can also contact the Washington State Department of Licensing, Real Estate Program, P.O. Box 9015, Olympia, Washington 98507-9015, at any time. We will never penalize you for making a complaint to us or to any agency.
10. Cancellation and refunds
10.1 Full refund within 30 days. If you cancel within 30 days of the date of this registration agreement (the day you bought the course) and you've completed 25% or less of the course's required seat time, you get a full refund of tuition. That includes cancelling before instruction begins (before you complete the orientation acknowledgment). There's no administrative charge.
10.2 After that, no refund. If you cancel more than 30 days after the date of this registration agreement, or after you've completed more than 25% of the course's required seat time, you don't get a refund. The 30 days count from the date of this agreement, even if you haven't opened the course yet.
10.3 How to cancel. Email support@youbestpractice.com from your account email, with your name and the course. Or mail a written notice to the address in Section 1. We confirm within 2 business days, and approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
10.4 If we cancel the course or stop offering it before you finish, you get a full refund of tuition, or a transfer to an equivalent course if you'd rather.
10.5 A refund ends your access to the course.
10.6 The full rules, including exam prep, are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
11. Your records
11.1 We keep your student record for at least 5 years, as Washington law requires (WAC 308-124H-935). It includes: the school's name, address and phone number; your full name, address and phone number; your start and end dates and the date of this registration agreement; the clock-hour courses you completed and your quiz and exam results; and your course evaluation.
11.2 During those 5 years you can request a copy of your record and a duplicate certificate online, free.
11.3 Your login stays active for 5 years after your most recent purchase or course completion, whichever is later, so you can reach your record and certificates.
11.4 Your record is confidential. We don't give it to an employer, a family member, another school or anyone else unless you ask us in writing, except to DOL or where the law requires (see our Privacy Policy).
12. If the school closes
If the school stops instruction, we will notify DOL and every enrolled student, refund each student the full amount owed within 30 days of the last day of instruction (or arrange how they can continue), and arrange with a DOL-approved person to keep the records Washington requires (WAC 308-124H-940).
13. The rest of the deal
13.1 Our Terms of Service apply to this course, including: education only and no guarantee of passing (Section 5), the limits on our liability (Section 17), your indemnity for your own conduct (Section 18), and resolving disputes through 60 days of required informal negotiation that binds both of us (with deadlines paused), then individual arbitration with a class-action waiver, staged batches for mass arbitration and a 30-day opt-out, with small claims court available to either of us instead of arbitration (Section 19). Nothing in them limits your right to complain to the Washington State Department of Licensing, the Attorney General or any agency.
13.2 Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the information this course collects.
13.3 You can download this agreement from your account at any time, and we'll email you a copy when you enroll.
