Refund and Cancellation Policy
Best Practice (youbestpractice.com)
Operated by YOUBESTPRACTICE LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we," "us," "our")
Version: Refund v1.4 (2026-10-11)
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Dates and times: every date and deadline in this policy, including every refund window, runs on Pacific Time (Washington time, America/Los_Angeles). A day ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. A refund request counts as made when our email system receives it or, by mail, on its postmark date.
Exam prep
- Full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as you've answered fewer than 100 questions in the paid question bank and haven't taken the full diagnostic exam.
- After that, exam-prep purchases aren't refundable.
- No access extensions. Exam prep can't be extended; access is 6 months from purchase.
- The Washington State add-on is bought in the same checkout as national exam prep, and the two are one order: the 7-day rule above applies to that order as a whole, and a refund of the order ends access to both. For Washington only, "the paid question bank" means the Washington State questions.
- A refund ends your access to what was refunded.
Clock-hour courses
- Full refund within 30 days of purchase (the date of your registration agreement), as long as you've completed 25% or less of the course's required seat time. This includes cancelling before instruction begins (before you complete the course orientation acknowledgment; there is no entry assessment).
- No refund after 30 days, or once you've completed more than 25% of the course's required seat time. That's true even if you never opened the course: the 30 days count from purchase, not from your first launch.
- There's no administrative charge. A refund is the full tuition you paid.
- Course access extension ($25 for 90 more days): fully refundable until the 90 days start. Once they start, it isn't refundable.
Certificates: a refund never cancels a certificate we've already issued, because the certificate records clock hours you actually completed.
If we cancel: if we cancel a course, or stop offering it before you finish, you get a full refund of the tuition for that course, or a transfer to an equivalent course if you'd rather.
A refund ends your access to the course.
Fees
- Registration fee: none.
- Record retrieval: your course record can be downloaded from your account at any time, free. During the 5-year retention period you can also request a copy of your record or a duplicate certificate online, free.
- Other charges: none.
How to cancel or ask for a refund
Email support@youbestpractice.com from the address on your account, with your name and the course or product, or mail a written request to PO Box 1386, South Bend, WA 98586. We'll confirm within 2 business days, and approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Access to the disputed product is paused while the dispute is reviewed.
Violations of the Terms of Service
Access that ends because the Terms of Service were broken (for example, copying the question bank or having someone else complete course work) isn't refunded.
Disputes
Disagreements about a refund follow Section 19 of the Terms of Service: 60 days of informal negotiation first, which binds both of us, then individual arbitration, or small claims court if either of us prefers. Nothing limits your right to complain to the Washington State Department of Licensing or the Attorney General.
